I want watch films and play backup games with my wii.I have heard that i can unlock with Homebrew installer software.

    p.s. you will need to purchase a 2gb sdhc card.

    Yes i think that Homebrew installer is only way to unlock.I have used this and it works.

    Ok…depending on your system menu version there are a couple ways of softmodding your wii, if you have 4.0 the only way is bannerbomb, which you should probably use anyway. http://wiibrew.org is your new best friend. look up the homebrew channel and install that. then dvdx which will allow you to play dvds in your wii, you will also need dvdx to use Wiigator’s gamma v0.3 backup loader where you play copies of wii games (illegal, mind you, unless you own the original game). You would need to download wii iso files and burn them to a DVD-R disc using a program like imgburn.

    Its all free and there is no need to buy any addition crap other than an SD card. Just do a quick youtube search with something like Wii Hombrew Install if you need a video tutorial
