Do you have to progress through wii rock band to unlock more songs?

I only have about 10 songs available on wii rock band. How do you unlock more songs? It says there are dozens on the box.

    Yes, you have to do Tour mode to unlock more.

    Yes, you do. As you play thorough the career, more songs will unlock. Some songs will only unlock if you’re playing on Medium or better, and not on Easy.
